What you’ll do as an Orthopedic Hand Surgeon:
- Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of upper extremity conditions involving the hand, wrist, and forearm, including trauma, degenerative diseases, and congenital disorders.
- Perform a broad range of surgical procedures, including fracture fixation, tendon and nerve repair, microsurgery, ligament reconstruction, and minimally invasive techniques.
- Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating both surgical and non-surgical approaches. Interpret diagnostic imaging including X-rays, MRI, CT scans, and ultrasound to guide treatment decisions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including orthopedic specialists, physical and occupational therapists, and primary care providers to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical research, and advancement of evidence-based practices.
- Provide patient education and postoperative care to ensure optimal recovery and functional outcomes.
Qualifications you’ll need:
- Completion of Orthopedic Surgery residency program Fellowship training in Hand Surgery
- Graduated from an accredited Medical School
- Board Certified or Board Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon
- An active New York Medical License
